Don’t get me wrong, mixing is a crucial step within any pro-level production.
The issue is that people (especially home studio owners that produce their own music) focus wayyy too much on the final mix when they should be focusing on the right things first.

Plugin bundles..
Outboard gear..
None of that stuff matters if you don’t have the right mindset when producing your music.
