With the never-ending avalanche of amp sims being thrown at us, how good can the FREE version of the Amped Roots amp sim by ML Sound Lab actually be?
Is it usable within a real production?
Does it sound (and feel) realistic?
Do you need to EQ it to death in order for it to fit into a track properly?
Will it KILL your computer by taxing its CPU to death?
I’m extremely picky when it comes to guitar tone. I don’t want to have to futz around trying to notch out problem frequencies all day.
After using the plugin for only a few hours, I’ve come to my own conclusion on where it stands and if I’ll be using it within my future productions.
