Recording Metal Drums – Home Studio Setup

In part 3 of this 6-part video series, Cameron Fleury shares his killer home studio setup for recording metal drums.

The song we wrote together was an absolute breeze for me to mix and much of that had to do with the fact that the drums were recorded so well.

And it was all done in a home studio with minimal gear.

By using very basic tools and proper microphone placement, you can achieve top-notch drum sounds at your house and Cameron shows you his approach to recording metal drums in this video.

Also, the final mix of the song was done in Reaper using mainly stock plugins.
