For whatever reason, there’s always a lot of mystification around mixing vocals.
As a matter of fact, I see people overcomplicating vocal mixing in all genres of music. With that being said, I want to zero in on metal since it’s usually the biggest pain in the ass.
There’s usually a whole lot going on in a metal mix.
It’s difficult to get vocals to compete against the pummeling guitars, bass and drum tracks.
